IWSSS 2017 Workshop Details
About IWSSS 2017
Control systems safety & security is a challenging research domain having a continuous development and a growing importance in the global political, military and economic context. The critical systems involved in energy production and distribution, petrochemical plants, transportation and road management relay on automatic control systems. All of them are based on sensor, transducers, controllers and other automation equipment. Most of them are now connected in various wired or wireless networks and sometimes are remotely operated via the Internet. The threats that since now was related to business or consumer PCs only are now targeting the automation systems. That is reason why many researchers from academia and industry are making efforts to assure control systems safety & security without affecting their performance and their ability to reach their objectives.
IWSSS 2017 is interdisciplinary and concentrates valuable knowledge from various fields of automatic control, computers and electronics. Special interest topics of the workshop are preventing, detecting and responding cyber-attacks and malware in control systems and networks by using modern approaches.
Our intention is to bring together practitioners and implementers from industry, prestigious researches from academia and young scientists and specialists. Our aim is to create an event to promote scientific research in this challenging field of systems safety and security and to let academia and industry make a strong partnership in order to develop new products and technologies.

Authors information
Paper submission
Prospective authors are invited to submit full papers electronically using EasyChair system.
Papers submitted for presentation should contain original research, not published or being considered for publication elsewhere. All materials must be written in English.
The papers will undergo a peer review process, coordinated by the International Scientific Committee. The corresponding author of each paper will be notified of the result by e-mail.If the paper is accepted, at least one of the authors must attend the workshop and present the paper.
All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings which will be indexed in IEEE Xplore database.
The papers from all the previous editions were indexed by IEEE Xplore database.
The accepted papers of IWSSS 2013, 2014 and 2015 were indexed by Thomson Reuters Web of Knowledge(ISI) Database.
The participants must prepare the full version of their paper following IEEE Conference Submission Standards. The template can be downloaded from this link. Maximum six pages A4 in double column format are allowed. Authors may upload longer manuscript up to a maximum of eight pages total. However, each page in excess of six will incur a supplementary charge.
As a part of the procedure, authors of accepted papers must send us a signed Copyright Form for each paper. Missing this document may lead to paper unpublishing.
